Casino Choice Canada
Privacy
Casino Choice Canada does not ask for your name, email or payment details: there are no accounts, forms, comments or newsletters on the site. Here is everything it does record.
A source label in your tab
When you open the site, a small script records where your visit came from as a single label in your browser’s session storage, under the key cg_src. Possible labels are chatgpt, perplexity, gemini, copilot, claude, google, bing, ddg, direct and other. The label comes from the utm_source parameter if the address has one, otherwise from the site that referred you, and it does not change as you move between our pages. Session storage is deleted when the tab is closed. On its own, the label goes nowhere.
Partner link clicks
Our partner links go through an address on this site that starts with /play/. When you click one, the source label is added to that address, and Google Analytics 4 receives an affiliate_click event with the brand, the page, where on the page the link was, the source label and the country whose casino list the page showed. The /play/ address then forwards you to one of the casino’s three tracking links, chosen by the source cookie below or, when ChatGPT or Gemini sends you straight to that address, by the assistant you came from, and adds a single parameter, the domain of our site. Beyond that domain and which of the three links you came through, we pass nothing about you to the casino.
The source cookie
A visit that comes from ChatGPT or Gemini makes our server set a cookie called _s with a two-letter code: cg for ChatGPT or gn for Gemini. It expires after 30 days and page scripts cannot read it. It changes only if you later arrive from the other assistant; visits from anywhere else, including Google search, set nothing and leave it alone. We use it at one moment only, when you click a partner link, to pick the casino’s tracking link: there is one for ChatGPT visits, one for Gemini visits and one for every other visit. Your browser settings let you delete it.
Your country
The casinos in our lists depend on the country your connection comes from. When a page with a list opens, your browser asks our server for the country; Cloudflare, our host, reads it from your IP address on the spot, and the server answers with a two-letter code only. Your browser uses the code to choose the list. We keep neither the code nor your address; a partner link click reports only which country’s list was on the page.
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity
Both services help us see how pages are used. They do not load when a page opens; they load after your first interaction with it, for example when you scroll, move the mouse, touch the screen, click or press a key. After loading, they collect usage data and may set cookies under Google’s and Microsoft’s terms; Clarity records interactions such as clicks and scrolling. No other third-party scripts, fonts or advertising load on the site.
Why we record the source
The source label tells us which channels bring readers who go on to click a partner link, for example whether a visit began in a search engine or in an AI assistant. It is a category and nothing more: it does not contain your address, your search terms or the question that brought you here, and it cannot be used to identify you.
Hosting
Cloudflare serves the site and, as any host does, processes the technical data in each request, such as IP address, browser and requested page, in order to deliver and protect it.
Your options
Block scripts or storage in your browser, browse in a private window, or close the tab to remove the source label. All pages remain readable.
